Amboseli National Park is renowned for its scenes of majestic elephant herds slowly moving through the vast, dusty plains or feeding in its verdant swampy retreats in the shadow of Mt Kilimanjaro. Its great popularity has brought problems, but the park survives and remains as appealing as ever.
Amboseli is elephants, swamps and the Maasai. It is Kilimanjaro and the best known view in Africa. About Amboseli
The Amboseli territory belongs to the land of the Maasai, the legendary tribe of nomad warriors and shepherds that feed on a mixture of blood and milk. The Maasai keep living today in the reserve surrounding the park the way they always did, grazing their herds around the plains and moving their household searching for the best pastures
